Oh let's be explorers 2016

Let's be explorers, travel the world, sail the seas, swim in lakes, climb mountains, dip our toes in sand  and splash in Ocean waves, float down rivers, explore the valleys and hike the trails...go see, do, learn, explore and make memories...I hope my girls grow up to love life as much as I do, to love adventures, to explore, to see new things, to learn everything they possible can...to know that no matter they can do and be whatever they dream... Off on another adventure...

Let's be explorers, travel the world, sail the seas, swim in lakes, climb mountains, dip our toes in sand  and splash in Ocean waves, float down rivers, explore the valleys and hike the trails..I was thinking recently about the state I spent the majority of my growing up years it's the place my parents still reside I don't call it home because home is where your heart is. Back to my point I was thinking about this place and all of the local sites to be explored there and the sad fact that I have never been to them either as a child or as an adult...I think about how people go away on vacations to play tourist but have never seen the local sites so to give my girls what I missed out on or didn't take advantage of while living somewhere ...So my advice to everyone go play tourist in your backyard, check out your neighborhood, town/city, museums, zoos, animal parks, forts/historical sites, opera, planetarium, aquarium, water parks, amusement parks, race track, horse races, miniature golf, National Parks, Forrest, lakes, hiking, camping  ..go see, do, learn, explore and make memories...

I have never been courageous enough to be a strolling Christmas caroler / crooner I am doing my neighbors a service by not forcing them to endure my off key voice. Our second Christmas here in Colorado and the only thing positive I have to say about this place a year later is it's close in proximity to Montana lol ..Well May all you Christmas wishes come true, may you be surrounded by those you love and may this upcoming New Year bring you peace, joy and happiness..

Thanksgiving November 2015

Thanksgiving is my favorite family Holiday I have so many blessings in my life my favorite blessings are these four little girls they are crazy, silly, smart and this man they just make my heart happy..
I wish everyone could focus on the good in their lives, to be grateful for small things as well as big things so many people focus on the negatives and they are just miserable...Me I am all about finding the good in every hiccup and bump...So may you be grateful and thankful and see how your life changes for the better...

Big D 2015

Well one thing that is guaranteed in the military is separations be short times apart like 24 hour staff duty, field trainings, tdys or the most dreaded of them all the BIG D word Deployment. As a military family we know it is looming, lurking, shadowing you get the picture it is a complete suck joy... SO once again we stock up on tissues and toilet paper for when we run low on tissues lol ok not really but sometimes deployments do bring on the weepies ...This deployment is different in many ways it's #3 but it is to a different place then before, to a scarier place in my opinion it is also coming on a major life change closed chapters you know...So here we are riding the rough seas of deployment the goodbye, the waiting and one day eventually a howdy there stranger....until then I will share the adventures the girls and I have while the man is off in the Sandbox

Halloween 2015

Mom & Pops Bang Bang visit 2015

 Life is so unpredictable this is not what I dreamed of because the truth is I never thought I would make it this far on my path but what a treasure this unexpected and truly appreciated path is, this family is a mish, mash of silly characters, different, unique members each contributing to the whole group dynamic I could not ask for a better tribe...these are my crazy people missing a big one and her mini me...but one day ....who knows each one of these little people will add more members to our tribe I hope they too feel as blessed by this family as I do...A family that laughs together stays together ....Without laughter and happiness you have nothing ...Thank you tribe for all the laughs and happiness

Our first Christmas back in the states no German Christmas Markets it's weird but different not bad just culture shock ...you know hopefully we find something here to do tradition wise for Christmas the one nice thing is are proximity to Montana ..

1st Holidays in Colorado 2014

When you move across an ocean right before a Holiday you end up with empty rooms here is hoping, praying, finger crossing that our household goods arrive before Christmas... Here is Halloween how cute they look in this empty space lol ...

Times are a changing...

I have always told myself, my daughters and my friends our lives are like a book with many chapters if we don't like where the story is heading rewrite the story or skip to a new chapter..Well our family came to a chapter that halted, paused, froze us in time which explains the huge gap between blog posts. I actually had written a huge blog post about what was going on at the time of the event but it sat in the drafts folder unposted today two years later I see the title of it in the drafts I don't even open it to reread what I wrote no reason to the chapter is closed I no longer reside in that period of time I simply hit delete. So on to new chapters with new adventures, new scenery, a new direction and a new sense of self...
So we said Goodbye Auf Wiedersehen to Germany...




And Hello to a new duty station so we are back in the USA ....and closer to Montana where we belong...I will be better at updating this now that I am back in the drivers seat of life....
