Tipi living

I have to say spending a weekend in a tipi (also tepee or teepee) however you want to spell it was definitely on my bucket list I think I enjoyed it more than the tribe though. I guess I embraced my inner Native American roots more than my girls..Ok so it was chilly at times and the weather a little iffy sure some rain drops came in the hole on the top of the tipi and things got damp but still I had a blast I definitely would sleep in a tipi again. I have to say I wasn't really impressed with this Jellystone location though I didn't bring breakfast for Saturday morning since they supposedly offered a pancake breakfast on Saturdays according to their website advertisement get there nope no Pancake Saturdays then bounce house hours nope bounce houses did not go up the entire weekend we were there....the tipis sit on top of a hill you park in a parking lot and lug your stuff up stairs that honestly have seen better days they were very weathered looking and had some bend and bounce to them as you walked up...but to top it all off no fire rings at the campsites instead way back down at the parking lot there were community fire rings next to the cabins well 5 fire rings to be shared between 4 cabins, 4 tipis yeah need less to say luckily as experienced campers I had brought along our portable camping grill oh yeah and extra quick meals for that missing Saturday pancake breakfast...no parking near the pool and the kid bounce mat was way over yonder and even further away was the petting farm which was hands down the best park of the Jellystone camping trip. Our observation they probably make the most money out of the golf cart rentals since you absolutely need one unless you want to be trekking all around the place.... man I really want a tipi now
